Anita White, Chief Appraiser of Cass County Appraisal District, resigned at last Monday’s board meeting. White was hired as Chief Appraiser in Apr. 2019 and had previously worked as an appraiser for Bowie County Appraisal District for 29 years.
Second Saturday is a staple event in Linden. Rain, cold, and even the current state of the world couldn’t keep shoppers from visiting their favorite locally owned shops on Saturday, March 14. The residents of Linden showed up to shop, dine and show their support for their hometown.

The Lion’s Club of Linden met on Thursday, March 12 at the County Seat Café. Items discussed included the upcoming Wild Flower Trails on April 25. Also, a reminder about the Lion’s Club State Convention being held in Longview on May 14-17.
Friends of Linden Public Library will hold a meeting at 5:30 pm on Thursday, March 26 at 300 E Houston (Linden Garden Club building). Everyone is invited to attend.
