IT’S ALL ABOUT

IT’S ALL ABOUT

Yesterday while cleaning up the backyard, dad and I decided we were tired of looking at the filthy dirty ole propane tank that had been sitting and growing crude for no telling how many years. Why don’t we try to clean it up? We both agreed it sounded like a solution to an ugly problem. Since its out of the way why don’t we try our hand at camouflaging it with a couple of light color paints? Sounded great to both of us. The grounds keeper got the power washer and did an amazing job readying the tank for its new look. With no clue how to paint camo, the internet and YouTube were the next steps to search. What would we do without YouTube? You can absolutely find anything you want to know “how-to” on YouTube. A little bit of study and then off to find appropriate leaves.

Linden is moving forward as much as we can. We have our restrictions but in any way we can, we will continue to move forward on our Linden projects. We have brought in an architectural firm to work with us on renovating the parking lot at the MILSTEP Building next to the Library. We are envisioning a neat parking area and an area for Food Truck vendors or Farmers Market vendors. We are going to correct the water runoff and try to beautify as well during the renovation. Phase 2 will be starting work on the building which will be flexibly purposed to provide what the community needs for years to come. The gym is looking doubtful right now, but we will see in the long run. We are trying to focus more on outdoor facilities and events as the COVID guidelines show them to be a safer venue. Right now, we are in the hottest part of the year, but Linden has some great weather and our outdoor facilities get a lot of use. The one thing I would like to remind all Linden residents is there is no garbage clean up at the parks, we need responsible folks to pick up after themselves. If a can gets full, either take your trash home with you or empty the can, there are dumpsters around our outdoor areas. We appreciate the help and it keeps our outdoor venues looking good.
