City Administrator UPDATE

Linden had a great block party last weekend. The weather was perfect and all that attended had a good time. Thank you Linden Together for hosting this great event. It seems like I am thanking Linden Together for something each week and that is just about the case. This group is showing amazing energy and a great ability to pull together things with a broad appeal in the community. Larry Allen and Whitney Goebel deserve a special shout out for pulling together the events. Jenna Lockhart and her 4H group who brought a bunch of the cutest goats and chickens known to man get a great big thank you as well. Jessie Rymel from the Agrilife program was there helping organize as well. Just a great group effort and we all got to enjoy a great evening together on the Square. The next block party is scheduled for Oct 17.

LEDC Update

We’ve made it to the very last day of our 2019/2020 fiscal year and what a year it’s been. With our fiscal year running from October 1st to September 30th, we really only got to enjoy one quarter of it in normalcy before things starting getting crazy around January. However, as a city, we’ve done fantastic work to make it to where we are today. Not only have we economically survived these last few treacherous months, but we’ve successfully retained businesses and seized on the opportunity to grow while the rest of the world faces economic instability.
