Many health professionals in the nation have sounded the alarm again at the uptick in COVID cases, particularly the Delta variant. Texas sits in the top 10 with the highest rise of COVID-19 cases they have seen since the first of the year.
UIL posted an updated Medical History - Pre-Participation Physical Examination (PPE) form on the UIL website for the 2020-2021 school year. The major change involves new state law requirements related to informing parents of the ability to receive cardiac screening. In response, Linden-Kildare CISD is offering a special one-day Physical Clinic for free. The clinic will be held at the Linden United Methodist Church on July 29. Exams will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will need to pay $20 only if you also want an EKG. You must pre-register by turning in the UIL form at the L-K administration office by noon on Monday, July 26.
The Linden United Methodist Church is accepting enrollment for their year-round child care and education program at the Methodist Children’s Center at the location of the former LK Early Childhood Day School. Enrollment is accepted for ages six weeks to 12 years old and operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sanel Thomas, owner of Chick-fil-A in Central Mall Texarkana, said the food truck was “hugely successful”. There were 150 to 200 people on the lot of the Cutting Company where the food truck was, and they sold every sandwich they had. He would like to partner with Atlanta again in the future.
