TxDOT has approved about 117 miles of Northeast Texas highways. The roads are scheduled to receive new surfaces starting this month which includes approximately 20 miles in Cass County. The Texas Department of Transportation has approved a low bid of $7.7 million for the project last fall from contractor Missouri Petroleum Products Company of Bullard, TX. The company will seal coat highways in seven counties located within the Atlanta District.
On July 14 Cass County Judge Travis Ransom released and updated Cass County Republican party organizational meeting agenda. The meeting will be held on July 21 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was originally scheduled to be held at the Peace Officers Training Center; however, it has since been moved to the Cass County Historical Courthouse in Linden, Texas.
