Genealogical society meets Oct.10

The Cass County Genealogical Society will meet Thursday, October 10 for their Membership Meeting.

At our October meeting our Guest Speaker will be C.C.G.S. Member, Del Jean Carroll who will be telling the story of one of her ancestors, “A Navajo Code Talker who served during World War II”. You don’t want to miss this interesting and in-formative program.

The meeting will start at 12:00 noon, lunch will be served at 12:30 pm and the program will start at 1:00 pm, and we hope that as many of you as possible will join us for this program, and please feel free to bring a friend.

The meeting will be held in our usual location, The Fellowship Hall of The Methodist Church of Queen City at Marietta and Fourth Streets, Queen City, Texas.

As always we will serve a light meal and beverages and the public is always invited.

Community Picnic

Join us at FBC Kildare from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, for a community-wide picnic.

There will be food, games, a bounce house and fun for all ages.
