Sales Tax Holiday for Emergency Supplies, April 27-29

As we enter the severe weather season, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar reminds Texans they can purchase certain items tax free during the state’s sales tax holiday for emergency preparation supplies, which begins at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, and ends at midnight on Monday, April 29.
Native plant sale planned for May 4

The Caddo Wildflower Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas is planning an all-native plant sale for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 4, at the Cass County AgriLife Extension Center, 1008 N. Louise St., Atlanta, Texas.

Terry Jones walks Atlanta daily. Every day, except when it rains. For two hours and not less than 10 miles. If it does rain, he works out at home, perhaps five to six hours that day.
