With all the current restrictions because of Covid-19, teachers at J.K. Hileman Elementary have had to get creative with their instruction. Last week, students in second and fourth grade took a virtual field trip to the theater to see “The Safety Circus”. Sponsored by SWEPCO, the National Theater for Children presented a virtual lesson in electrical safety through an interactive web platform.

Starting on Thursday, Oct. 8, Cass County celebrated the historic Highway 11 Treasure Trails, an 80 mile long trail of treasure filled garage sales. In a fun twist, it also coincides with Second Saturday in Linden. Highway 11 was abuzz with activity as shoppers browsed the contents of shops and yards from Linden to Hughes Springs looking for deals aplenty. Second Saturday was especially nice for deal seekers as the sun came out and warmed up the day. Photos by Jamie Jeans
