QCHS sophomore, Mason Campbell

QCHS sophomore, Mason Campbell won his class with his goat Deja Vu at the Houston Livestock Show last week. There were 62 in his class and he placed first. He also got to compete in the Division Drive, won a trophy and $5,000, and got to participate in the sale the next day.

Daughters of 1812 attend Council

Mark Epperson Chapter United States Daughters of 1812 Nancy Belford, Tammie Duncan Blackburn, and Kay Stephens attended the Texas State Society United States Daughters of 1812 annual Council in Temple, Texas. While there, Tammie Duncan Blackburn was elected Texas State Librarian. The three ladies were all voting delegates from their local chapter. In the picture, Kay, Tammie, and Nancy are shown with Atlanta native Texas Honorary State President Ora Jane Johnson, who is immediate past U.S.D. 1812 Librarian National and who is currently U.S.D. 1812 2nd Vice President National.
