Atlanta Homecoming 2021
BROOKLYNN HOPE HOWARD
Brooklynn is the 17-year-old senior daughter of Cody and Jill Howard. She has an older sister, Madelynn, a 2020 AHS graduate, and brother, Hollan, an eighth grader at Atlanta Middle School.
Her grandparents are Pops (Jim Howard), Nina (Linda Howard), Pappy (Danny Stanley) and Meme (Leigh Stanley) all of Atlanta.
Brooklynn attends Westside Baptist Church in Atlanta and Church Under the Bridge in downtown Texarkana where she volunteers her time caring for the less fortunate.
Brooklynn has been an Atlanta Rabbit Cheerleader for seven years from middle school throughout high school, as well as a member of the Big Bad Band from Rabbit Land playing the trombone.
She has been blessed to be a part of the award winning BBBFRL, and UIL State Cheer competition for the last three years.
She is an all American Cheerleader, has served as a Student Council Representative and now serves as the Senior Class President.
She loves being a squad leader for the amazing trombones, is a straight A student, and was inducted into the National Honor Society last year.
In her downtime, Brooklynn loves driving back roads while blasting country music, especially George Strait, Sonic-runs with Alex, late night talks with Madison, and impromptu photoshoots with Sarah.
After deciding on her university of choice she plans on continuing her education, majoring in biology and serving those in need by going into the medical field as a nurse practitioner.
ALEX BOSTON
Alex is the 17-year-old son of Jarrod and Lindsey Boston.
He is the grandson of Joe and Elaine Johnson and the late Jerry and Marie Boston.
Alex attends First Baptist Church of Atlanta and his hobbies include bowling, fishing, traveling, playing video games, riding the golf cart at his grandparent’s house, swimming, camping, hiking, hanging out with Matthew Hudson and the boys, and going to late night Sonic trips with Brooklynn.
Alex is a member of the Atlanta varsity basketball team in which he was named Newcomer of the Year for the 2019-2020 season and First Team All-District for 2020-2021, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is a DAR Citizenship Award recipient.
He plans on going to Stephen F. Austin State University to become a basketball coach or a trainer.
DESTINEE NICOLE WELLS
Destinee is the 18-year-old daughter of Mahogany Banks and Rodney Wells.
She is the granddaughter of the late Linda Jones, Willard Banks, Dorothy and Floyed Ferrell, Dot Wells and the late Leroy Wells.
Destinee attends church at Faith Tabernacle and her hobbies include shopping, eating, playing volleyball, traveling and hanging with friends.
A few of her accolades include: First Team All-District in volleyball, and All-American Cheerleading.
Destinee plans on attending college and majoring in Sports Medicine.
ADRIAN BRONZON KENNINGTON
Adrian is the 18-year-old son of Kimberly Kennington and Edward Brewer.
He is the grandson of JoAnn Baker, Joey Kennington and Arlene Brewer.
Adrian attends First Methodist Church and his hobbies include hanging out with friends and family, going to the lake, camping, fishing and going on vacation.
He also loves water slides and amusement parks with big roller coasters and making sure his truck is clean. Sometimes dirt track racing is his thing. He enjoys bowling with friends and eating out.
His activities include varsity football, varsity baseball, varsity track and field, and DC welding.
Adrian is unsure where he plans to attend college but he would like to major in welding or possibly join the military.
JORDAN MICHELLE HODGE
Jordan is the 17-year-old daughter of Megan and Decori Birmingham, and is the granddaughter of Kay and Tomie Hodge.
She attends First Baptist in Atlanta her hobbies include hanging out with her best friends Katherine and Haley, and spending time with her brothers Dawson and Dillon and being a dog mom to Zeke.
Jordan’s activities include varsity softball for three years and receiving district MVP her junior year.
She is also producer of Rabb Talk and is a member of the yearbook committee.
Jordan’s future plans are to play softball at the Division 1 level and major in Biology and become a dental hygienist. After college Jordan also plans to join the military.
COOPER MCCLURE
Cooper is the 18-year-old son of Matt and Becky McClure.
He is the grandson of Jim and Lynda McClure and Lynn and Nancy Gordon.
Cooper attends First United Methodist Church and his hobbies include hunting, fishing and anything to do with baseball.
His accolades include being a 4-year letterman in baseball, being named Newcomer of the Year for baseball freshman year, being named Defensive Player of the Year junior year for baseball, earning All-State baseball honors junior year, being a 3-year letterman in football, making the All-District list sophomore and junior year and being named All-State punter junior year.
Cooper plans to play Division 1 baseball in college and major in business.
MAGGIE JOHNSON
Maggie Johnson is the 16-year-old daughter of Kevin and Kelly Johnson.
She is the granddaughter of Harold Sharp, Shelia Sharp, Donald Johnson and Mary Ann Johnson.
Maggie attends Cross Creek Cowboy Church and her hobbies include being a varsity cheerleader for three years and now serves as a co-captain, being in the front ensemble for four years in band and being in Theatre for two years.
Her accolades include induction into NHS her junior year and receiving first place at the UIL competition for poetry.
Maggie loves to travel and take long vacations with her best friend Sydney, loves teaching gymnastics at Mrs. Becky’s gym and loves spending time with her family and friends, and taking spontaneous trips.
Maggie plans to attend SAU in the fall of 2022 to pursue a master’s in education, and become a college professor.
DE’KORIAN “DK” PARKER
De’Korian is the 17-year-old son of Alonzo and Sharon Parker.
He is the grandson of Gary Baugus and Mary Dickerson and Ronnie Parker and the late Kathy Parker.
DK attends First Baptist of Atlanta, Texas and his pastor is Dr. J. Stanmore.
His hobbies include God, family, football, horseback riding and being able to enjoy life.
Outside of school DK works for Brookeshire’s as a cashier and also does roofing part-time.
He plans to attend college to receive his master’s in Electrical Engineering Program.
MORGAN PRICE
Morgan is the 17-year-old daughter of Terri Price. She is the granddaughter of Toni and Weldon Wilson, Theresa and Jimmy Price, Vicky Hughes, and the late J.L. Morgan.
Morgan attends Smyrna Baptist Church and her hobbies include hanging out with Jaci Corn and jamming out in the car with her younger brother, James Price.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, the UIL Spelling team, and Art Club. She is the Executive President of the AHS Student Council, as well as a 2-year drum major for the Big Bad Band from Rabbit Land.
Morgan plans on pursuing a psychology degree in order to become a therapist.
TY BLIZZARD
Ty is the 18-year-old son of Joe and Michelle Blizzard.
He is the grandson of Jamie and Loraine Griffin and Jane Blizzard.
Ty is a member of Faith Community Church of Nazarene and is also a part of the leadership team for his youth group.
His hobbies are bowling and duck hunting with the boys. He also likes to workout in his free time with his dad where he tries to show him up.
The rest of his free time is spent going out with his girlfriend.
Ty was inducted into the National Honor Society his junior year of high school. He plays right guard on the offensive line for the Atlanta Rabbits.
He has been a part of the varsity team since his freshman year. He plays trombone in the Big Bad Band from Rabbit Land and has placed top five in the state marching contest in San Antonio.
Ty has competed in powerlifting all four years and has placed top 10 in regionals and hopes to better that position in his upcoming season.
His future plans are to attend a trade school to be certified in H-VAC. He plans to work while in college and hopefully one day buy a ring for his girl.
