Walking into Queen City High School for registration in the summer of 1982, after moving from Waycross, Georgia, young John Bridges had no idea what lay in store. As he, his younger brother George and mother Catherine, turned a corner in the hallway they met the journalism teacher, Jean Stow.

On Sept. 21, LKCISD held its regular meeting for the Board of Trustees. Schneider Electric was on hand to discuss the exciting upcoming changes.

Amanda Rose, the owner of Awaken Nutrition, has an energy that radiates positivity. With a smile, she greets every person who walks through the door of her business located at 410 E Main St. in Atlanta with a warm, welcoming smile as if they were the best of friends. So it was no surprise to see such a grand turn out for her ribbon-cutting ceremony held by the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce on Friday, Sept. 25.
