LKCISD gets upgrades

On Sept. 21, LKCISD held its regular meeting for the Board of Trustees. Schneider Electric was on hand to discuss the exciting upcoming changes.

Those changes include upgrades to the HVAC system and changes to the lighting, all of which are predicted to save the district in electric costs and give the school more consistent lighting. Schneider will begin work this year.

Also discussed was a motion to cancel the upcoming Trustee election. Two candidates are running; both are unopposed.

The Cass County 4-H has been designated by the Board once again as having extra curricular status. Finally, it was noted that $20,000 was spent on playground equipment for both the elementary and junior high schools, with $6,000 worth of equipment being donated by the Linden Heritage Foundation.

The high school woodshop is helping with the assembly of some of the equipment for the schools.
