Candidate speaks to voters
Write-in candidate for U.S. House of Representatives for congressional district four and Texarkana resident Tracy Jones speaks to voters in the eastern part of the district Sunday in Mt. Pleasant. Those in attendance included Titus County’s Republican Chairwoman Sue Evenwel and citizens from Atlanta and Cass County. Jones, a conservative who bills himself as a “kingdom candidate”, pled his case as the choice between himself and Republican candidate Pat Fallon. Jones cited his own Christian conviction, the ill effects of the Marvin Nichols Reservoir and Fallon’s record on eminent domain as reasons for his candidacy. Additionally, Jones charged the congressional district executive committee’s appointment of Fallon as the Republican candidate in August as voter suppression.
