On April 7, 1:05 p.m. several individuals, at Linden Police Department, publicly resigned their positions on Facebook, explaining that April 21, would be their last day with the Department. Among those resigning were the current acting chief, two police officers, and an administrator.
Mayor Travis Ransom awarded the first “Mayor’s Choice” award to his favorite painting - by Charles Ellingburg - at the 903 Artisans Spring Show held Saturday. Charles donates 100% of the profits from his art to the Color Hands charity which helps fight the war against sex trafficking worldwide. Hall-Miller Municipal Airport (KATA), Atlanta, has commissioned an Airport Weather Advisor® Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS). AWOS systems or weather stations are automated sensor suites that are designed to serve aviation and meteorological operations, weather forecasting, and climatology.
Larry Breashears was sworn in at the Monday City Council meeting by Danica Porter. Longtime resident Breashears will replace Dean McDuff who passed away March 19 as the new Atlanta City Council member.
