Residents and volunteer firefighters in the communities of McLeod, Huffines and Kildare Junction have been working for many years to see a new station complex built for Cass County Emergency Services District #1. On June 11, 2022, the new building will officially open with a community wide celebration. Its two bays will house four trucks and it also provides office, meeting room, restroom and storage spaces.
For the June 9th meeting C.C.G.S.’s meeting, Vice President Louella Vernon will talk about the various surnames our members are researching and the many different spellings and changes of these surnames.
