Cass County forms Academic Partnership with Texas A&M-Texarkana
The Atlanta Independent School District announced today it will operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. The free and reduced lunch applications have been replaced with a socio-economic form that is found in the registration packet. This approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.
This Saturday, Aug. 24, 903 Baseball and Softball Academy will host the World Champions Trophy Tour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Barry Dewayne Abney of Texarkana pleaded guilty to the third-degree felony offense of injury to a child and was sentenced on August 12.
