Cass County’s War Memorial monument on courthouse square in Linden is placed “In honor of those who served our country.” Nearly every month, some recognition observance is called to attention. In this month of September and upon each third Friday, National POW/MIA Recognition Day is called to mind. The remembrance is for those who were prisoners of war and those who served and never returned home. The Department of Defense Accounting Agency continues the search for the missing.
