This week’s Cass County Pioneer is the man who literally brought football to Atlanta High School. Born on February 16, 1893, Coach William Edward “Ed” Rabb came to Atlanta in as a young lawyer in 1919, following his service in WWI. His love for football and experience playing for Cumberland University while in law school led him to create a local intramural league in Cass County, composed of youngsters both in and out of high school.
