DECA students compete in Georgia

More than 17,000 DECA members across the globe demonstrated their college and career knowledge and skills by participating at DECA’s Competitive Events Program this week in Atlanta, Georgia. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the world. Gail Dorgan, advisor, and Siglinda Smoak, chaperone, were honored to escort Dylan Stanley, Austin Williams, Nicholas Lane and Logan Grandmaison on this educational adventure. These four young men represented L-K, District 6, and Texas DECA at the ICDC competition in Atlanta, Georgia. Between ICDC competition times L-K DECA was also able to experience some science and history education as they visited the Georgia Aquarium, the Atlanta Zoo, the World of Coca-Cola and the College Football Hall of Fame museum.
