Army Intelligence Officers are the liaisons between the soldiers on the front line and the politicians in Washington, D.C. They serve by negotiating with the enemy’s leaders. While they seldom see combat, they are responsible for helping to save the lives of their troops by performing collection management, surveillance, reconnaissance and advisement.

Flag Retirement is the term used to define the proper, dignified way of destroying United States flags that are no longer fit to serve the nation. If you have a flag that is torn, tattered or accidently touched the ground, please do not throw it out with your garbage. Instead, place it in this box in the City Hall lobby. Our local VFW and American Legion hold periodic Flag Retirement ceremonies.

We recently bought a new house and our ten-pound dust-mop of a dog Buster is not adjusting well. Buster is a 13-year-old Shih Tzu who seems to suffer from anxiety. He is half-blind and nearly deaf and the transition to our new house is proving to be a hardship. I get it - us “old dogs” don’t like new and we don’t like change.
