My Life As I Remember It ( Part One)

The first thing that I (Sarah Elizabeth Rosser known as “Sadye Bess”) can remember, I think I was about three years old; I had made my first visit to Grandmother’s alone (Mary Ann Zilphia Rosser Lewis). There were three maiden aunts that thought they knew all about bringing up other people’s children. My family of seven brothers and sisters evidently missed me, for they were lined up on the front walk, when they brought me home, each holding out their arms to see which I would go to first. Being the little stubborn one, I probably didn’t go to any of them.

He was born on a farm with no electricity in a time when airplanes were still just a dream, but within a few years, he would become one of the most famous pilots in the world.
