The Queen City High School band directors took 30 band members to the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) All-Region tryouts on Dec. 11, and had 12 students make the Region band.
Atlanta senior Destinee Wells signed with Mountain View College in Dallas where she will play volleyball.
On Friday Dec. 10, Linden-Kildare High School students took on the faculty in a friendly game of volleyball to raise money for the local Angel Tree recipients. The event was sponsored by HOSA and all money raised will be used to purchase gifts for children this Christmas.
