Rabbit football summer youth camp coming up
Atlanta’s coaching staff will host another free Summer Youth Football Camp from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, July 18, at the Atlanta High School practice field across from the primary school for incoming seventh-ninth graders, and will coach children in grades one through six on Wednesday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to noon at the same location.
Registration will commence at 8:30 a.m. on those days in the high school weight room and participants are asked to wear workout clothes and athletic shoes; preferably cleats if available.
The kids will be taught how to effectively use the weight room, go through warm-up activities, learn respect for their coaches and each other, and be coached on football skills and drills related to Rabbit championship football.
The campers will also learn several different aspects of the game, from passing to falling on fumbles before the ball reaches the out of bounds line.
Water will be provided during breaks and each camper that participates will receive a free t-shirt.
After four years of big playoff success, the Rabbit football program is rolling.
The coaches invite the area youth to come be a part of the next group of championship football Rabbs.
The campers will be treated to an up-tempo, fast paced exciting day of Atlanta Rabbit football drills, skills and fundamentals.
The dividends of the camp have shown in the past four years as the Rabbs won Bi-District championships in 2012 and 2013; a Co-District championship in 2015, and were crowned Regional Champions in 2014 and 2015 with state quarterfinal appearances.
