L-K Cheer donates to the American Cancer Society
As you all know, the month of October is coined as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All of us have been touched by this horrific disease either directly or indirectly.
Many of you may have grandparents, parents, siblings or extended family members that are currently fighting their own personal battle with this horrific disease.
This past month the L-KHS cheerleaders raised funds by selling pink out shirts to our student body on all three campuses and our community.
Their slogan was TIGER STRONG!
Together we support the fighters, honor the survivors, remember the taken and we never ever give up HOPE. L-K had the privilege to honor one of its very own survivors, Mrs. Dawn Hoskins.
Mrs. Hoskins was diagnosed with breast cancer a little over a year ago and underwent surgery in October 2017. Today she is CANCER FREE.
The cheerleaders presented her with a certificate that states: OCT. 2018 L-KHS Cheerleaders raised $250 to donate to the American Cancer Society with faith hope and love in honor of Dawn Hoskins breast cancer survivor. We are better together, we are TIGER STRONG!
