Melissa Waddell is happy that some of her volleyball team players have rushed out to join her in the Hall of Fame presentation. From left, they are Kherington Baca, Harper Highland and Jaliyah Gordon. The young man is Waddell’s son Kinsler Burrow. In the crowd at right is Kirby McCord, former Atlanta’s volleyball coach who presented the award to Waddell.

The family of Duncan Thompson is pleased to receive the Hall of Fame plaque. Holding the plaque is Thompson’s oldest daughter Paula Harp. Standing next to her is the youngest daughter Pam Huffman. At left, in the striped shirt, is Thompson’s son Joe Thompson. Boyce Wells, standing right, presented the plaque. He played football for Duncan Thompson both in high school and college.

Lots of smiles are being shown from the family and friends of Richard Bull Johnson. With a copy of the award citation are Johnson’s daughters. From left, they are Julie, the youngest daughter; Vickie who is holding plaque and is the oldest daughter; and Janice, the middle daughter. Howard Carney, standing at right, made the presentation. Carney had played on Bull Johnson’s first team here in Atlanta in 1955.
