Alma Jean Gunn, age 78, of Atlanta, Texas, died Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Jean was born February 12, 1942 in Cass County, Texas.
She was a member of the Queen City ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, loved to garden, decorate and travel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loma Wesley and Vera Pauline Brown Griffin; and her brothers, Wallace Griffin and Larry Griffin.
She is survived by three children, Christopher Todd Gunn, Amy Hill and husband Dan, and Bronson Gunn; seven grandchildren, Joshua Gunn, Kayla Stanley and husband Cory, Kirbi Sheffield and husband Brett, Jami Gann and husband Daniel, Jordan Tally and wife Shannon, Matthew Hill, Robert Hill; fourteen great-grandchildren, Lexi Gunn, Kailee Douglas, Jayla Gunn, Jayvin Gunn, Emma Brabham, Millie Sheffield, Hallie Sheffield, Cason Jester, Weston Gann, Raylee Gann, Addisyn Tally, Liam Tally, Kellan Tally, Cameryn Tally; one great-great-grandchild, Kannon Douglas; her siblings, Howard Griffin of Kennedale, Wesley Carole and wife Mary Helen of Atlanta, Lonnie and wife Susie of Queen City, Reba Garwood of Garland, Hazel Acevedo and husband Rey of Atlanta, Sandra House of Malvern, Arkansas, Vicki Shields and husband John of Queen City; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be 10 am, Friday, September 4, 2020 in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Vicki Shields, Carla Burke, and Wesley Griffin officiating.
