Dorothy Jean Turner-Ivy was born on August 12, 1958 to the late Robert Turner and Velma Jean Fisher in Dallas.

She was raised by her late great grandmother, Ella Mack of Domino. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age.

She was baptized at First Baptist Church and remained a loyal member. She was an alumni of Queen City High School graduating class of 1976.

She excelled in the field of cooking and dietary services. She endured her career as a faithful employee of Golden Villa over the past 20-plus years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Zackery LaRay Samuel.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two daughters: Tammy Chandler (Arthur) of Atlanta, TX and Stephanie Campbell (Torrance) of Washington, D.C. Grandchildren: Decory Talton Sr., Isaiah Chandler, Kourtnie Hollingsworth (Elgin), Marc Kelly and several bonus grandchildren. Great grandchildren: Decory Talton Jr., Chandler Talton and several bonus great grandchildren. A host of uncles, aunts, and other close relatives.

Dorothy Jean Turner-Ivy lay in repose at Queen City Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

A funeral service in her honor was held at First Baptist Church in Atlanta on Saturday, December 4, 2021 beginning at 10:30am. Interment followed at Ware Cemetery in Domino.
