JUANITA HUNT HALE
Jan. 22, 1935 - Sept. 20, 2017
Juanita Hale, 82, of Bloomburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 22, 1935, in Boyce, La., to James and Ethel Hunt. She was a homemaker and a member of Atlanta Church of God. She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking and working crossword puzzles. She loved her Lord and reading His word, which was her guide to serving others and how she lived her life. She was known as a prayer warrior. Her prayers were the glue that held the family together. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, J.N. Hunt, Thomas Hunt, Gary Hunt and Edmond Hunt.
She is survived by three sons, Ralph Hale and wife April of Bloomburg, Paul Hale and wife Billie Jo of Queen City and Craig Hale and fiancé Brianne of Bloomburg; two daughters, Elaine Orr and husband Ricky of Bloomburg and Debbie Hale of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren, Spencer Hale, Paige Petten, Austin Hale, Dallas Hale, Nick Hale, Christopher Hale, Abby Milam, Jaime Orr, Mandi Stringer, Dustin Orr, Kirbi Huddleston, Steve Crumpler, Chad Crumpler and Joni Jones; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives; and her special church family.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Atlanta Church of God with Bro. Chris Miller officiating.  Interment will follow at the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

LAWRENCE ELVIN WARE
Feb. 27, 1933 - Sept. 20, 2017
Lawrence Elvin Ware, 84, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 in Texarkana.
He was born Feb. 27, 1933, in Texarkana, Ark., to Ustace E. Ware and Maxine Sewell Ware. He attended Atlanta High School, where he played trumpet in the marching band. He continued his education at East Texas State University, where he graduated with a degree in Industrial Arts. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. After returning stateside, he married Norma and served several years as a Texas State Trooper, before joining his father in the family’s business Ware Plumbing in Atlanta in 1963. It was at this time that Ware Plumbing became the local Lennox Dealer. He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta.
He had a love for fishing with friends and family. He loved to travel and his goal was to see all 50 of the United States. He also cherished his time meeting his friends for coffee every day at Red River Pharmacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mildred Ware Gibson; and wife, Norma Ware.
He is survived by three children, Gary Steven Ware and wife Linda of Atlanta; Linda Dianne Ware Williams and husband Jeff of Garland and Thomas Alan Ware and Doris Dyke of Texarkana; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Steven Ware and wife Hannah of Anson, Kristie Ware of Avery, Haley Ware of Houston and Blaine Ware of Avery; and other close relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at First Baptist Church in Atlanta Texas with the Rev. Wes Mills, the Rev. Dale Perkins both of First Baptist Church of Atlanta, the Rev. Mathew St. John and the Rev. Jeffrey Ware both of First Baptist Church of Anson officiating. Interment followed at Pine Crest Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, you are encouraged to make donations in Lawrence’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

NORMA JEAN BAILEY WARE
Oct. 30, 1934 - Sept. 20, 2017
Norma Jean Bailey Ware, 82, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, in Texarkana.
She was born Oct. 30, 1934, to George Thomas Bailey and Elva O. Boren Bailey in Texarkana, Ark. She attended Texas High School and later graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton with a business degree. She married Lawrence and worked as the bookkeeper for the family business Ware Plumbing for more than 30 years. She was a very compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an avid bridge player and a member of several bridge clubs. Norma had a love of being creative and was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed spending time painting, crafting and gardening. She also loved travelling with Lawrence, her husband of 59 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Gail Bailey of Tulsa, Okla.; her three children, Gary Steven Ware and wife Linda of Atlanta, Linda Dianne Ware Williams and husband Jeff of Garland and Thomas Alan Ware and Doris Dyke of Texarkana; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Steven Ware and wife Hannah of Anson, Kristie Ware of Avery, Haley Ware of Houston and Blaine Ware of Avery; and many other close relatives and friends.

PAULINE ‘POLLY’ STARKEY ELLIS
Dec. 11, 1923 - Aug. 16, 2017
Pauline "Polly" Starkey Ellis, 93, of San Angelo, formerly of Atlanta, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, in San Angelo. She was born Dec. 11, 1923, in Atlanta to Charles and Lessie Bell Starkey. She was an Atlanta High School graduate Class of 1942 and was a majorette for the Band. She was the Rabbit Homecoming Queen in 1941.
After attending Baylor University, she married John Ellis and resided in San Angelo for more than 70 years, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Bill Ellis; and three daughters, Pollyanna Casey, Sally Morris and Merrijane Smith; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grand children; a nephew, Bill Starkey; and first cousin, Gordon Pynes. Interment was at the Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo following a graveside service Monday, August 21.

Dean Hopper, 84, of Atlanta, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at his residence.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel. Interment followed at the Laws Chapel Cemetery under the direction Hanner Funeral Service.
 
NORMA SERENO EMMONS WILLIAMS
Feb. 18, 1938 - Sept. 19, 2017
Norma Sereno Emmons Williams, 79, of Queen City, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, following an extended illness.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Grace Church in Nash. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home.
