Lusara Cowan, 79, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, in an Atlanta nursing home.
She was born June 17, 1938, in Hamlin, to Wellington and Georgia Faye Dean. She was retired from the McLeod Independent School District and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time gardening, cooking and exercising, especially walking and tennis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lewis Cowan; a brother, Doyle Dean; and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Chris Cowan and wife Deanna of College Station and Tracy Cowan of Texarkana; two daughters, Leslie Cowan of Atlanta and Valerie Cowan of Hope, Ark.; brother, Joe A. Dean of Hamlin; four grandchildren, Bradley Coats, Brandon Coats, Hillary Winter and Connor Cowan; three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Coats, Cash Rhea and Maggie Coats; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Laws Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Chris Cowan officiating under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

FLORENCE CASEY MILLIGAN

Florence Casey Milligan, 87, of Queen City, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, in an Atlanta hospital.
She was born March 9, 1931, in Ashdown, Ark., to Jody and Cora Lilly Casey. She was a homemaker and member of Lake Country Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Milligan; a granddaughter, Christie Milligan Beard; three brothers, W. J. Casey, Bill Casey and James Casey; two sisters, Geneva Faulkner and Winnie Parkison.
She is survived by two sons, Lesley Milligan and wife Judy of Atlanta and Alfred Milligan and wife Linda of Atlanta; six grandchildren, Tina Marshall of Atlanta, Michael Milligan of Atlanta, Leeann Small of Waco, James Milligan of Linden and John Milligan of Craig, Colo.; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Gary Terry and Bro. Gene Parker officiating. Interment will follow at the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Dorothy DeLay, 87, of Douglassville, went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, in Atlanta.
She was born and raised on a farm in Booneville, Ark. Later, she moved to Fort Smith, Ark., where she met and married Charles Joseph “Jobie” DeLay. They made their home in Douglassville, where Dorothy raised four children and owned and operated a beauty salon for more than 30 years. Shey was a member of the Douglassville United Methodist Church, where she was a song leader for many years. She loved music of all kinds, especially hymns and gospel. An avid cook, she was well known for her pies and cobblers. For more than 60 years, she was a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star, in the Douglassville and Linden Chapters and served as Worthy Matron and many other stations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joseph DeLay; son, Danny DeLay; brothers, James Organ, Joe Organ, David Organ, Charles Organ, Clarence Organ, Jay Organ and Bud Organ; and a sister, Wanda Wilkins.
She is survived by two sons, Mike DeLay and wife Kara of Atlanta and Mark DeLay of Douglassville; daughter, Marilyn Cobb and husband Mark of Atlanta; two sisters, Barbara Robertson of Booneville, Ark., and Monica Lairamore of Booneville; five grandchildren, Jennifer Cobb Owens and husband Jay of Atlanta, Mallory DeLay Thompson and husband Drew of Texarkana, Daniel Cobb of Atlanta, Dylan DeLay of Atlanta and Jillian DeLay of Douglassville; two great-grandchildren, Easton Owens and Colsen Owens both of Atlanta; a special friend, Charleen Granberry of Douglassville; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Douglassville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby Horn officiating. Interment followed at Douglassville Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Jacqueline Rose Elliott, 69, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 14, 1949, in Levelland, Walter and Lois Elliott. She was retired from Atlanta Independent School District and taught at several other schools including Queen City and Bloomburg. She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle and loved spending time reading the Bible and she loved art. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Elliott; and a son, Byron Elliott Frost.
She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Frost Pickett and husband Steven of Atlanta and Amanda Frost Hailey of Atlanta; mother, Lois Elliott of Atlanta; brother, Richard Elliott and wife Rhonda of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Skyler Hailey, Keylee Hailey, River Holcomb, Laken Holcomb and Stacie Harris and husband Jared; three great-grandchildren, Faith Harris, Freya Harris and Jace Harris; nephew, Brad Elliott and wife Julie; niece, Jennifer White and husband Ronnie; several great-nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Calvary Tabernacle with Bro. Billy Dupree officiating.
Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
