WILLIE MAE ‘JUDY’ BURTON
Sept. 10, 1923 - Nov. 18, 2017
Willie Mae “Judy” Burton, 94, of Atlanta, went to be with her Lord in the early morning hours of Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017. She was hand-in-hand with her husband and soul mate, Conley, with whom she shared 76 years, 2 months, and 10 days. They shared an enduring love that stood the test of time and served as an inspiration for family and friends alike. From the moment Conley rode up on his horse, a path was set for a long life of true love and companionship.
A life-long resident of Atlanta, Judy was born Sept. 10, 1923, to William Hiram Brown and Annie Virginia Jones Brown. She was a graduate of Atlanta High School, Class of 1939. A few years later Judy and Conley were married and started a family. She worked as a homemaker raising their family, and later in life went to work for the Atlanta Independent School District, where she retired from in 1994. She was an active member of the Smyrna Baptist Church, where she served as a church hostess and member of Designing Women. Of her many hobbies, she enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening most.
Judy was proceeded in death by her parents; and brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Conley H. Burton of Atlanta; a son, Jerry Burton and his wife Janis of Queen City; a daughter, Diane Brown and her husband Donald of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Michael Brown of Houston, Jeffrey Burton and his wife, Mandy of Huffman, Jody Burton of Frisco and Ashley Brown Boyd and her husband Michael of Texarkana; three great-grandsons, Reagan Burton, Tennyson and Tanner Boyd; as well as a number of nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Thelma Williams.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Smyrna Baptist Church with Bro. Gene Parker officiating. Interment followed at the the Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

JAMES ELLIS HALL

James Ellis Hall, 35, of McLeod, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017
He was born Oct. 27, 1982, in Shreveport, La., but lived all of his life in McLeod. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to go camping, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially with his children. He worked for J&K Custom Cutting, which got him more interested in woodworking and building. He loved to collect guns and knives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Thompson Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Hall of McLeod; five children; MaKayla Fielder, Bailee Fielder, Caitlin Hall, Alyssa Hall and Dakota Hall, all of McLeod; his father, Arthur Hall of Smithland; his brothers, Lee Hall of Bloomburg and David Hall and wife Shawnie of McLeod; his grandmother, Frankie McGray of Gray; his aunts and uncle, Kay Mosley of Smithland, Paul Thompson of Smithlan, and Charlene Varnell of Oil City, La.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, La.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hart Clawson and James Festervan officating. Interment followed at Good Exchange Cemetery in McLeod under the direction of Gorsulowsky Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Lloyd Miller, John Michael Varnell, Alan Poindexter, Eddie Miller, Cody Hall and Chico Chaidez. Honorary pallbearer was Randy Shane Morris.

PAUL GERALD FULLER

Paul Gerald Fuller, 89, of Fort Worth, formerly of Linden, joined the Fuller and Penny Clan in heaven Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, in Fort Worth. God needed a few new stories to tell the angels.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Sebie Lee Fuller and Lillie Florence Penny; five sister and five brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lou Ann Fuller of Fort Worth; two sons, Paul G. “Jerry” Fuller II and wife Samantha and Stewart W. Fuller and wife Nadine; five grandsons Paul G. “Trey” Fuller III and wife Ashley and Sebie J. Fuller of Arlington, Nathan F. Fuller, Joseph T. Fuller and Matthew M. Fuller of Fort Worth; three great-grandsons Paul IV, Zane and Grayson of Arlington; one sister, Joyce Lake, of Linden; and one brother, Sebie L. Fuller of Plano; one sister-in-law, Lynn Foshee and husband Ben of Texarkana; and numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Funeral services celebrating his life were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford. Interment followed at Corinth Cemetery in Linden under the direction of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home.
