Nathan Johns, 20, of Cass County was arrested Thursday for allegedly shooting his mother, Melissa Johns, also of Cass County.
On Thursday, July 2, Linden Lion’s Club met at the County Seat Café for their weekly meeting. The special guest speaker was Melissa Cunningham, who currently works for Focused Care of Linden as the Director of Clinical Operations, but will soon be moving on to becoming the Director of Infection Control for Focused Care.
Girls’ softball team, Total Chaos, presented the Linden City Council with a special set of memorial rings in honor of their support and help with the American Legion Field at a special City Council meeting on June 29.
A meeting was held at Enon Baptist Church at 10 a.m. to ask city officials about chokehold banning and COVID-19 testing. Fifteen members of the community and nine city and state officials attended in hopes of finding answers to some of the difficult problems facing our society right now. Robin Betts, David Cockrell, Becky Wilbanks, Sidney Harrist, Larry Rowe, Mrs. Whatley, Mrs. Shelton, David Stewart, and Travis Ransom were in attendance to help possibly provide some answers.
