Congressman host town hall meetings
Wednesday, August 18th, Thursday, August 19th, and Friday, August 20th, Congressman Pat Fallon (TX-04) will hold public town hall events in Texas’s Fourth Congressional District to provide an update on his work in Washington, D.C. and receive feedback from his constituents.
Local meat market celebrates first day
Today was the official first day open for the 7 Star Ranch Meat Market, located at 205 N West St, next door to Flip N Cheer. Owners Crystal and Freddy Campbell say they have been selling beef for about two years now and it was time to open a local meat market. The market offers locally sourced beef, local seasonings, and a wide variety of other items. The Campbells plan to have their grand opening and ribbon cutting in late September or early October. Lok for them at the up coming Moonlight Madness in downtown Atlanta on Sept. 5. Market hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Photos By Jamie Jeans
Sandifer retires from TxDOT
Marcus Sandifer, the spokesman for the Northeast Texas District of TxDOT here in Atlanta, will be retiring this month after 35 years. In his place, Heather Wright Deaton will start today Wednesday, August 18. Sandifer leaves behind a dedication to his work and 35 years of experience.
