Preservation of court records is underway

The preservation of historical documents has long been held to be of great importance. Indeed, humanity has been recording and preserving our histories since at least the time of ancient Egypt. From the most mundane of things, such as property ownership and bills of sale, to death and birth records, criminal proceedings, and everything in between, humans find great value in saving records of all kinds.

Another thing I like as good as fishing is country music especially that from the late 70s to the late 90s. My wife Billie Jo joined me again for a road trip this time to Branson, MO. When I planned this trip I was happy to see that the Mickey Gilley Theatre featured none other than Mickey Gilley himself along with the Urban Cowboy Band and Johnny Lee. Separately both of us had seen this same bunch in Texarkana 35 years before and before we knew each other. That fact brings a meaning to the “Looking For Love” mega-hit of Johnny’s. Although we seen five or six shows while in Branson this was the highlight of the music entertainment. The fact I can’t remember the names of the other shows, shows how C and W rooted I am. RNN interviews school friends

The Atlanta Grade School Friends were interviewed by the Rabbit News Network at Atlanta Elementary School. Reporters Colt and Madisyn asked great questions like why restore the school, how is it funded and what are future plans for the building. Judy Lanier explained the significance of the Texas Historical Medallion that was awarded to the school. Following the interview, both reporters were given an authentic Atlanta-Miller Grade brick by the friends. Lorie Saffel and Tammi Clements are the teachers who sponsor the RNN. The Interview will air on the Atlanta Elementary Facebook page. The friends present were Jerri Steger, Judy Lanier, Leigh Stanley, Cyndy Chamblee, and Margaret Fitts. They all meet in first grade at the Atlanta-Miller Grade school and have remained life long friends.
