Cass County Fire District 3 broke ground on June 22, 2020 for the new fire station. The property was donated by Jim and Audrey Voss. Present for the ceremony was Fire Chief Dakota Huddleston, his son Huck, Commissioners Danny Hurt, Randy Sanders, Pat Grogan, and Jim Voss.

For those who are new to the community or have never paid attention before, Cass County Reader’s Choice is your time as a consumer and community influencer to vote for your favorite teacher, specialized business, medical professional, employee, restaurant food item, along with several other categories to tell those in Cass County who is the best.
A meeting was held at Enon Baptist Church at 10 a.m. to ask city officials about chokehold banning and COVID-19 testing. Fifteen members of the community and nine city and state officials attended in hopes of finding answers to some of the difficult problems facing our society right now. Robin Betts, David Cockrell, Becky Wilbanks, Sidney Harrist, Larry Rowe, Mrs. Whatley, Mrs. Shelton, David Stewart, and Travis Ransom were in attendance to help possibly provide some answers.
Girls’ softball team, Total Chaos, presented the Linden City Council with a special set of memorial rings in honor of their support and help with the American Legion Field at a special City Council meeting on June 29.
