Pet Adoption Spotlight

Pet Adoption Spotlight

Timid is a 7-year-old Great Pyrenees. She just had babies that have found their homes and now it’s her turn. She was raised as a livestock guardian dog but since she has been at the rescue, she has been a wonderful inside/outside dog. She has wonderful manners and is potty trained. She just figured out what a bed is and she cannot get enough! She loves to roll over for belly rubs, give you hugs over your shoulder and hold your hand. She is the gentlest dog I’ve ever met all while being one of the sweetest. She absolutely adores children as she took to the owner of the rescues daughter immediately. She is very protective over them and definitely has a guard mentality. With that being said, she likes to wonder and patrol. She would be best with someone with some land or a big yard. She would need a less active, laid back home as she does have arthritis in her back right leg preventing her from bending it. Vet said it has been like that for awhile but it doesn’t seem to bother her. You could put her on medication to make her more comfortable. She does wonderful with ALL animals and she would be super happy in home with or without kids. She is up to date on all shots and vaccines. She is on heartworm prevention and will be spayed before adoption. If you are interested in giving this girl a comfortable home to finish out her days you can contact Save ‘Em Acres at 719-491-2927. The rescue is also accepting donations for their animals at https://www.paypal.me/saveemacres
