Women’s Club, children’s choir entertain

Atlanta Area Women’s Club is pleased to have two new members. Janice Yancey and Dana Robison will be an asset to our club’s projects. Every February, our Atlanta Women’s Club entertains the Wesley House residents with a Valentine party. This year the entertainment was the Atlanta Methodist children’s choice who sang several songs. For some of the songs the children incorporated sign language. Each resident was given a Valetine gift. One club member, Cindy Woods, baked cakes for the refreshments. Each year club members receive such joy from the residents. In a very special finale, the children’s choir serenaded our President, Kathy O’Kelley, with “Happy Birthday” to celebrate her special day!

Two days before a major winter storm was forecast to hit much of Texas, two tanker trucks had to be taken off the road. But thanks to the hard work of TxDOT mechanics, they were able to get them back in action.
