Our 1st Educational Series was a success. I want to thank Caffe’Crema,Chicken Express,The Dawngeon and Atlanta ISD Culinary Class for their food donations for the event. We were all well fed. This is a quarterly event. If you were unable to attend we plan to have a recording of last week’s educational series available to you next week. Our next topic will be business tax information for your small business. Lacy Hicks, the chief appraiser will be our speaker. The date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Genealogical society to meet

The Cass County Genealogical Society will meet Thursday, September 8th. At our September meeting C.C.G.S. Member George Frost will speak at the September meeting concerning his field work in researching and locating graves in an old neglected cemetery located on his property. You don’t want to miss this interesting and informative program.

Growing up in the 80s we were blessed with the great evangelist Billy Graham and other charismatic leaders. During that time they encouraged people to say the “sinner’s prayer” and be “born again”. Both of these have a scriptural basis but somewhere along the way many who “accepted Jesus in their heart” were not given the fine print or told all the information when they prayed the prayer for salvation.
