Texas Arbor Day was celebrated in Linden City Park Nov. 1. Hosts were the Linden Garden Club, Texas Forest Service, Linden-Kildare FFA and the City of Linden.

This year's best costumes for Halloween may have been these three.The three are dressed as actual comic characters. In the picture at the Atlanta Public Library, from left, is Bowser, Luigi and Princess Peach as characters. In actuality, they are the Spence family of Katie, Dayne and Francis.
