Trammel’s Trace Chapter, NSDAR to present book to area Veterans

The Trammel’s Trace Chapter, NSDAR will present the book “Treasured Memories of WWII Veterans” on December 7, at 2pm at the American Legion Hall during a special reception for the veterans included in the book.
The book, which is a collection of stories from 60 veterans residing in Cass County and surrounding area, was compiled and written by Frances Whatley and Sue Berry, took approximately 4 years to compose. 
“The reception is to invite all of the Veterans that we interviewed and their families so that we can present them a copy.” Said Frances Whatley.
 The public is invited to attend this reception, and forms for pre-sale of the book will be available.
“You know they say that this was the greatest generation, but after hearing their stories, I truly believe they are.” Whatley said.
The Trammel’s Trace Chapter, NSDAR, is A non-profit group, which works to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
