Linden Main Street Pop-Up week ends with a new shop
Faith Work Studio was awarded the incentive package by Linden Main Street because it was the first pop-up shop to sign a lease on a building.
“We want to thank the community for coming out and supporting us because we couldn’t do this without them,” said Faith Works owner Renee Murphy.
“We are looking forward to our new adventure, come and see us for birthday parties, couples date night and girls night out,” said Murphy.
Faith Works Studio is will host painting with a twist style classes, sell art pieces and have ‘shabby sheek’ styled furniture for sale.
The reason Linden Main Street hosted a “Pop-Up” week on the downtown square in vacant buildings was to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to test the water with their business ideas.
Seven businesses participated and opened the doors to the public some with food others had retail items to see how the town would respond to their products.
“We appreciate the building owners who allowed us to use their building and donated the utilities for our pop-up shops for a week,” said Linden Main Street Manager Allie Anderson.
Linden Main Street gathered sponsors for the incentive package to encourage new business’ in downtown.
“We are grateful for all the sponsors who made it possible to have an incentive package to encourage business,” said Anderson.
The sponsor were the who City of Linden donated six months of water and sewer, Sanitation Solutions donated six months of trash pickup, ETex Communication donated six months of internet service with installation, Small Business Development Center donated a business consultation, SWEPCO donated a energy audit and the Linden Chamber of Commerce donated a one year membership.
“I want to thank all of the volunteers who help us bring this event together,” said Anderson.
The pop-up shops who participated was Caddo Coffee Roasters and Music Café by Jordan and Jaquelin Rain, My Family’s Sweettooth by David and Jenna Withers, Power House Herbs by Leesa and Doug Carter, Terri’s Art Gallery by Terri DeNatale, The Intersection by Karen Sutton, Slingshots and Arrows by Anna Puckett and Faithworks Studio by Renee Murphy, Staci Wells, Emily Sands, Beverly Rachel and Dawn Vaughn.
