Heart of the Lion award given to Don Henley
Linden Lion Richard Bowden and wife Holli Bowden presented a ‘Heart of the Lion’ award from the Lions Club of Linden to Don Henley after a question-and-answer session on July 23.
Henley has provided a free meeting facility for the Lions Club's weekly meetings for more than 10 years.
The current meeting place is the newly remodeled County Seat Café, where Henley reserved a special meeting place for the club.
Henley performed and celebrated his 70th birthday for a packed house at the American Airlines Center in Dallas recently. Among special guests that performed with Henley were Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Patty Smyth and Stevie Nicks.
Bowden, who recorded on Henley’s latest solo album ‘Cass County’, also recorded on Stevie Nicks’ first solo album, ‘Belladonna’.
