Veterans Day service

Eastern Cass County School Retirees Association met Tuesday, November 11,2025 at the Queen City Methodist Church. Our program was presented by the J.K.Hileman Elementary Third Grade Class.The students sang four patriotic songs to our members in honor of Veterans’ Day, and all veterans in attendance were recognized. The music teacher is Rayla McAdams. The students wore red shirts and waved the United States flag as they sang patriotic songs. The music students made our members smile on this very important date.

CHARLES HENRY HEFNER took as his wife one of his former students, Annie Lillian Traylor, who was better known by her nickname “Daisy”. The couple got married on December 29, 1901 in the home of her parents at County Line, Texas. (The County Line was “between Cass and Morris Counties). Following the wedding ceremony an “In Fair Dinner” was held honoring the Couple.
