The 22nd Annual Jefferson Burn Benefit took place last weekend. The town was full of motorcycles, bands, food and fun. The weather was perfect for the events and contests that were held. Each summer young burn survivors from Louisiana and East Texas attend camp for a week of fun with others who share the bond of the burn. The camp is free for the kids and made possible by donations. Starting on Thursday, Oct. 8, Cass County celebrated the historic Highway 11 Treasure Trails, an 80 mile long trail of treasure filled garage sales. In a fun twist, it also coincides with Second Saturday in Linden. Highway 11 was abuzz with activity as shoppers browsed the contents of shops and yards from Linden to Hughes Springs looking for deals aplenty. Second Saturday was especially nice for deal seekers as the sun came out and warmed up the day. Photos by Jamie Jeans
