Recently the 7th grade Intro to Ag class taught by Mrs. Caraway learned about composting, soil, and care for late season crops from Mr. John Ferguson. They will be planting a fall garden consisting of spinach, beets, turnips and radishes in the near future. All photos courtesy of Atlanta ISD

Atlanta High School debate teams performed very well at the Hallsville Debate Meet. Alex Jones and Ingrid Baizabal cross entered in Policy Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking, together they brought home 1st place in policy. Alex got 3rd place in Persuasive and Ingrid received 5th in Informative. Alex Jones was also top speaker for the day. In LD we had Jon Kennedy, Cademon Larson, and Manuel Olvera compete. In Jon’s first meet he went 1 and 2, Manuel speaking for the first time in varsity debate also went 1 and 2, while Cademon’s second outing in varsity went 2 and 1. We are very proud of the professionalism and work these kids put in and we’re happy to have them on our debate team!
