On April 22, 2023, Chapter 416 presented awards to 10 Essay Contest winners, three Civil Air Patrol Cadets, and two teachers.
April’s Wildflower Trails are almost certainly upon us as elegant wildflowers such as yellow coreopsis, lazy susans, red clover and Indian paintbrush color the hillsides of East Texas Highways, such as Highway 77 from Douglassville to Marietta, and, perhaps most notably Highways 49, 155, and 11 between Avinger, Hughes Springs and Linden.
Amity Study Club met at Amigo Juans Friday at 6 p.m. for a special meeting to award the local CASA, or court-appointed special advocate nonprofit with a sizeable donation to help local children who need a leg up or are in dire straits.
Atlanta Downtown Merchants Association hosted their Spring Fling event from 1-5pm on Saturday, April 16.
