Hometown Christmas celebrates its 7th year on the 7th of December
Hometown Christmas celebrates its seventh year in downtown Atlanta with a flurry of activities.
Among the things to look forward to are a new type of snow, a reindeer, camels, elves, balloon art, caricature art, and a snow play area.
Those attending should look forward to a weekend full of fun with a “Light up Hiram” 5K race and kid run the night of Dec. 6 and then a full day of fun on Dec. 7.
On Dec. 7 there is a soldout “Brunch with Santa” at 11 a.m. Later in the day the Christmas Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by the “Hometown Christmas” events that go from 6 to 9 p.m. that night.
Hometown Christmas was started “by a group of community-minded men and women dedicated to creating an event that the community could all gather together and enjoy the Holiday at home in our own Hometown!” says Krystl Dawn, one of the original organizers of the event.
“The committee loves knowing that we bring big city activity to small-town living. This excitement brings true Holiday Spirit to every heart around,” says Dawn.
“Tickets can be purchased online at Hometownchristmas2019.eventbrite.com or at the Chamber of Commerce, Flip-n-Cheer or Price Hardware beginning Dec. 2. Getting tickets early will help to speed everything up and allow more playtime!” says Dawn.
