Atlanta United shows community love

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comforts and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Indeed these are times of great challenge and on June 10, the community of Atlanta came together to show where it stands during this time with a prayer vigil held at the Plaza on Main.

Churches from all faiths came together to pray, worship, and sing with those in attendance. Mayor Travis Ransom, who attended the service said, “It’s always nice to see young people who truly care about their community and I think this is a great example here.”

The passion and love of those in attendance have for their fellow Atlantians, and indeed, all the people of the world, could surely be felt, seen and heard throughout the service.
