Atlanta played Redwater on Sept. 13, and the Lady Rabbs ran its district record to 2-0 after sweeping the Lady Dragons, 25-21, 25-19, 25-21.

Carlajah Adger posted 12 digs and two aces, Kaylon Partain added 24 digs and three aces, Rylie Pattillo had 21 assists, Kym Sheppard recorded 12 kills and four blocks, Sabriiyah Young had five kills and Annemarie Hanner added eight assists.

On Sept. 16, Atlanta battled a tough, 4A North Lamar squad. The Lady Rabbs came out with fire and battled the entire match as the teams went back-andforth with each set.

North Lamar had already topped two local teams in tourney play a few weeks ago, but that didn’t phase the Lady Rabbs as they won in five sets, 25-16, 20-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-6.

Carlajah had 13 kills and four aces, Kaylon Partain recorded 42 digs, five kills, and two aces, Amaya Young had seven kills and six blocks, Rylie Pattillo posted 22 assists and 11 digs, Kym Sheppard netted 15 kills and nine blocks, Ziza Garcia added 10 digs and two aces and Annemarie Hanner had 10 assists and 11 digs.

Queen City

Last weekend Queen City’s JV volleyball program competed in a tournament at Chapel Hill High School in Mt. Pleasant. The Lady Bulldogs competed very well in pool play but fell short in the gold bracket play.

In the first game, QC played Liberty-Eylau JV1 and won with the scores of 15-11, 15-6.

In the second game, QC beat Redwater JV 2 with scores of 15-13, 15-6, and in the third match the Lady Bulldogs topped Mount Vernon JV1 with scores of 18-16, 15-8.

The last pool game for QC was a 2-game sweep against Sulphur Bluff with scores of 15-8, 15-7.

In the second game, the Lady Bulldogs lost against Avery with scores of 28-26, 25-20. Gracie Alexander led the team in service points over the weekend with 31 points total and Keeli Mainer added 26.

On Sept. 13, Queen City’s JV volleyball program played Hooks in its first district game of the season.

The JV1 team won its game with scores of 25-19, 25-12. Keeli Mainer led the team in service points with 11 points and Ruby McCasland added eight.

The JV2 team fell short with scores of 25-19, 2512. Makenna Hamilton led the team in service points with seven points and teammate Regan Hargrove added six.

On Sept. 13, the Lady Bulldogs’ varsity volleyball program took on Hooks.

Queen City lost in five sets, 23-25, 21-25, 30-28, 27-25, 8-15, but battled after dropping the first two sets.

Lauren Carrell had 14 kills, five aces, two blocks and 10 digs, Trinity Oden had 10 kills, two aces, three blocks and five digs, Dori Sasser added eight kills, one block and six digs, Jamecia Cook posted five kills and eight blocks, Madison Bailey recorded seven blocks and Mallori Stringer had 34 assists, 15 digs, two kills and one ace.

M.U.M.S.

On Monday, Sept. 12, the M.U.M.S. volleyball program competed with Paul Pewitt in fine fashion.

In the eighth grade A team contest Mallory Hamilton was on fire as she served an incredible full game making the score 25-0. Her total points for the night added up to be 31 point alone. The second match was won by a score of 25-23 with Lucy Kelton adding four points.

The eighth grade B team also won with scores of 25-14 and 16-15. Anna Young was the top scorer with 11 points and Aubrey Bird added six.

The seventh grade A team won with scores of 2520 and 25-17. Abby Brannon led the Lady Bulldogs with 11 points and Whitlee Carell helped with six.

The seventh grade Lady Bulldogs B team played two full matches with scores of 25-12 and 25-13. Abby Young served 13 points and Ava Bautista helped with 12.
