Atlanta
On Aug. 30, Atlanta’s high school volleyball program swept Daingerfield.
For the varsity Kym Sheppard had 10 kills and four blocks, Kaylon Partain had 12 service points, 24 digs, six kills and eight aces, Carlajah Adger had 16 digs, Rylie Pattillo had nine assists and Madison McCoy had eight assists and three aces.
For the White team Kayden Allen had three digs, Emma McCall had five points from serves, Ashlyn Webb had four points from serves and Gabby Petrofsky had three points forum serves.
For the Maroon team Kalissa Reliford had eight digs, Elliana Edwards had four points from serves and Cha’Nya Clark had three points from serves.
Queen City
On Aug. 30, Queen City hosted Big Sandy and won by scores of, 25-9, 25-27, 25-20, 25-11.
Dori Sasser had 17 service points with four aces, and one block, Lauren Carrell had 17 service point with six aces, seven kills and seven digs, Trinity Oden added 10 service points with five aces, seven kills, three blocks, and two digs, Jamecia Cook posted 13 kills and four blocks, Mallori Stringer had 25 assists and one kill and Brenna Turbeville had 11 digs.
On Sept. 2, Queen City and Linden-Kildare played one another on the volleyball court.
The battle went back-and-forth at times but Queen City won the match, 25-14, 25-23, 25-14 Brenna Turbeville led with 13 service points and seven digs, Trinty Oden added 12 service points and four kills, Lauren Carrell led with 11 kills, Dori Sasser added five kills and Mallori Stringer had 21 assists.
MUMS
Morris Upchurch Middle School’s volleyball program played Vivian on Aug. 29.
The seven grade Lady Bulldogs won in two matches with scores of 25-11 and 25-10. Carrell led with 14 services points and Baker helped with 13.
The eighth grade Lady Bulldogs picked up their first win with scores of 25-9 and 25-16. Hamilton served 20 points, Kelton helped with seven and Bailee Black added two kills.
