QC HS

On Oct. 26, the Queen City High School volleyball program played its final game of the season against Paul Pewitt.

The varsity battle was a tight match as Pewitt won set one 25-11 followed by a 25-18 QC win in set two.

Pewitt won the third and fourth sets to claim victory by scores of 25-20, 25-19.

Senior Chyna Stiger closed out her season with seven kills and nine digs; Lauren Carrell added 10 kills, two blocks and four digs; Jamecia Cook had four kills and seven blocks; Trinity Oden posted four kills, six blocks and five service points and Mallori Stringer recorded four kills, 32 assists, four digs and five service points.

The JV 1 team won its game in two sets by scores of 25-20, 25-19.

Serenity Oden had 10 service points, four aces and two kills for the Lady Bulldogs; Ruby McCasland added five service points and six assists and Madisyn Bailey had three kills.

The JV 2 team also won in two sets by scores of 25-14, 25-16.

Macey Granderson had four kills; Taylor Ward had nine service points, two aces and two kills and Lola Gladden had five service points.

On Oct. 25, the Morris Upchurch Middle School volleyball teams swept Paul Pewitt.

The seventh grade A team won in two sets by scores of 25-18, 25-12. Abigail Bickham and Mallory Hamilton each had nine points.

The seventh grade B team won in two sets by scores of 25-20, 9-3. Kaylin Griffen posted five points and Emerson Wilbanks added four.

The eighth grade A team beat Pewitt in two sets 25-13, 25-10. Kerian Thomas recorded 15 points and Grace Alexzander had seven points.
